After the green tea is picked and processed in spring, it’s stored until the jasmine blossom is ready for picking. Once the jasmine is picked, it’s combined with the green tea. To enhance the jasmine flavour in the tea, the mix is turned several times. This turning process is called perfuming and can take more than a month. To make 1 kg of jasmine tea, sometimes more than 7 kg of jasmine blossoms are needed.
