Dutch Harvest hemp tea
What is Dutch Harvest hemp tea?
Dutch Harvest makes organic hemp tea from the leaves and tops of hemp grown in the Netherlands. The tea is caffeine-free, and the hemp used for tea has only trace amounts of THC, the substance in cannabis that makes you high. You'll find five loose-leaf blends here in 40 g or 50 g bags: pure hemp, or hemp with chai spices, turmeric, herbs, or an evening blend.

Hemp tea is not a tea in the strict sense. Tea comes from the Camellia sinensis plant; hemp tea is an infusion, like regular herbal tea. It contains no caffeine, so you can drink it in the evening too. On its own, hemp tastes earthy and grassy with a light, spicy edge. Dutch Harvest uses certified organic hemp.
The five Dutch Harvest blends
- Simply Hemp (40 g): pure hemp leaves and tops. Choose this if you want to taste hemp as it is.
- Hemp Chai (50 g): hemp with chai spices such as cinnamon, cardamom and ginger. Warm and spicy, and a good base for a chai latte.
- Hemp & Turmeric (50 g): hemp with turmeric, which gives the tea a golden colour and a spicy taste.
- Hemp & Herbs (40 g): hemp with a mix of herbs, softer and rounder than pure hemp. A good first choice if you're new to hemp tea.
- Sleepy Hemp (40 g): hemp with herbs such as valerian and lavender, blended as an evening tea.
All five are loose-leaf tea, so you'll need a tea infuser, a teapot with a strainer or a filter bag. Looking for more? See all our organic hemp tea.

Good to know
The earthy taste of hemp is not for everyone; a flavoured blend such as Hemp Chai or Hemp & Herbs is an easier start than Simply Hemp. If you take medication, or if you are pregnant, ask your doctor before drinking hemp tea.
Does hemp tea make you high?
Not from a normal cup. Tea is made from hemp with only trace amounts of THC. If you are tested for drugs at work or in sport, check with your employer or doctor before you drink hemp tea.
Does it contain caffeine?
No. Hemp is naturally caffeine-free. If you're unsure about a flavoured blend, check the ingredients on the product page.
