With or without caffeine
Black and green tea come from the tea plant and contain caffeine; green tea usually a little less per cup than black. Rooibos is naturally caffeine-free. For the herbal and fruit teas, check the ingredients on the product page if caffeine matters to you or your guests.
Brewing Sunleaf tea bags
- Black tea: freshly boiled water and three to four minutes. Add milk afterwards if you like.
- Green tea: let the water cool for a few minutes, to around 80 °C, and steep for two to three minutes. Hotter water or a longer steep makes it bitter.
- Herbal tea, fruit tea and rooibos: freshly boiled water and five minutes or more. These rarely turn bitter.
