A classic English-style black tea from Sunleaf, made up entirely of black tea leaves with no added herbs or flavourings. The cup is full and aromatic, firm enough to take a dash of milk and easy to drink at any hour. The leaves are picked, processed, blended and packed in southern India. The 25 bags come individually wrapped, so each one keeps its aroma until you open it.
Details
Sunleaf English Blend is a straightforward black tea for everyday drinking: 100 percent black tea, with no herbs, fruit pieces or added flavourings. It pours a full, aromatic cup that works as well first thing in the morning as it does halfway through the afternoon.
Flavour
The character is classic rather than delicate: rounded, aromatic and firm enough to stand up to milk. Take the bag out early for a lighter cup, or leave it in longer if you want more body behind it.
Where it comes from
The leaves are picked in the south of India, and the same region handles the processing, blending and packing, by the local community. It is a question we are asked often enough that we put it to the manufacturer, who confirmed that southern Indian origin.
Brewing
- One bag per cup
- Water straight off the boil
- Steep for 3 to 5 minutes; shorter gives a milder cup
