Dallmayr coffee beans and ground coffee
Dallmayr coffee from Munich comes here as whole beans and as ground coffee, in the prodomo, Classic, d'Oro and Home Barista lines. For a filter machine, hand filter or cafetière, choose prodomo or Classic in 500 g packs, ground or as beans; prodomo also comes decaffeinated. For a bean-to-cup or portafilter machine, choose a 1 kg bag of beans from d'Oro or Home Barista: Crema d'Oro and Crema d'Oro intensa for caffè crema, Espresso d'Oro for espresso, Caffè Crema Forte or Crema e Aroma for a stronger cup with milk. Each product page shows the strength on our scale of 13 and on Dallmayr's own scale. Below the products you'll find what sets each line apart.

Dallmayr in brief
Dallmayr is a family-owned delicatessen house in Munich that roasts its coffee in its own roasteries in Germany. The business was first recorded around 1700 and took the name of its owner, Alois Dallmayr, in 1870. In 1933 Konrad Werner Wille, a coffee specialist from Bremen, set up Dallmayr's coffee department, and in 1964 he created Dallmayr prodomo.
Which Dallmayr coffee suits you?
prodomo: 100% arabica for filter coffee
Dallmayr prodomo is a blend of 100% arabica highland coffees from Asia, Africa and South and Central America; arabica from southern Ethiopia shapes its taste. Dallmayr calls it full-aromatic and spicy. It is medium roasted, with strength 4 out of 5 on Dallmayr's scale (8 out of 13 on ours). Choose prodomo ground coffee for the filter machine, hand filter or cafetière, or prodomo coffee beans to grind yourself or for a long cup without crema from a bean-to-cup machine. The decaffeinated version is harmonious with a full aroma (3 out of 5, 6 out of 13), as prodomo Decaf beans or prodomo Decaf ground.
Classic and Classic kräftig: arabica and robusta for the filter
Dallmayr Classic and Classic kräftig are medium-roasted blends of arabica and robusta for the filter machine, hand filter and cafetière. Dallmayr Classic comes as whole beans and tastes strong and aromatic, 4 out of 5 (8 out of 13); Dallmayr calls it "klassisch gut". Classic kräftig is ground and more intense, 5 out of 5 (10 out of 13): spicy, full-bodied and low in acidity, good black or with a dash of milk.
d'Oro: slow-roasted beans for caffè crema and espresso
Dallmayr has roasted its d'Oro line slowly and gently since 2003, for bean-to-cup and portafilter machines. Crema d'Oro is soft and aromatic, "samtig fein und mild" (6 out of 10 on Dallmayr's scale, 6 out of 13), for caffè crema, cappuccino or caffè latte. Crema d'Oro intensa is fuller, with roast notes and little acidity (8 out of 10, 8 out of 13). Espresso d'Oro is a powerful espresso blend of Central American arabica and Indian robusta (8 out of 10, 8 out of 13) that also suits a moka pot.
Home Barista: dark-roasted beans for coffee with milk
Dallmayr Home Barista coffees are roasted long and dark. Caffè Crema Forte lives up to its name: intense, full-bodied and low in acidity (7 out of 10, 7 out of 13), for caffè crema, espresso or cappuccino. Crema e Aroma tastes strong and aromatic, and Dallmayr says its creamy texture makes it ideal for drinks with milk (8 out of 10, 8 out of 13).
Beans or ground: which Dallmayr for your brewer?
Dallmayr ground coffee is ground for filter brewing: Dallmayr recommends it for the filter machine, hand filter and cafetière. With a bean-to-cup machine, pick beans from d'Oro or Home Barista, or prodomo beans for a long black cup. More choice is under filter ground coffee, coffee beans for bean-to-cup machines and decaffeinated coffee beans.
