Details

Dallmayr Home Barista Crema e Aroma is the Home Barista coffee for milk drinks: a dark roasted blend of arabica and robusta, sold here as whole beans in a 1 kg bag. Dallmayr's tagline for it is "cremig und aromatisch": creamy and aromatic.

How Crema e Aroma tastes

Dallmayr Home Barista Crema e Aroma tastes strong and aromatic, with little acidity. Dallmayr says its creamy structure is what makes it ideal for all preparations with milk. Dallmayr rates the intensity 8 out of 10, which is 8 out of 13 on the Café du Jour scale.

Roast and packaging

Dallmayr roasts the selected beans long, gently and dark, and the pack says dark roast. Straight after roasting, the beans are sealed aroma-tight under a protective atmosphere, and a valve stops air from reaching them. The coffee is produced in Germany with green coffee from outside the EU. Once opened, close the bag well and keep it cool and dry.

Drinks and machines for Crema e Aroma

Dallmayr recommends Crema e Aroma for caffè crema, caffè latte, cappuccino and latte macchiato. It works in a bean-to-cup machine, a portafilter machine and an espresso pot (moka pot). More beans for your machine are in our coffee beans for bean-to-cup machines; the Home Barista and d'Oro coffees are together on our Dallmayr page.

FAQ
Customer Questions
What is the roast date?

The roast date of Café du Jour's coffee beans is usually a maximum of four weeks before dispatch. This means that the coffee beans are generally no older than four weeks when they arrive at your door.

Many people ask if coffee beans are already too old after three weeks. The answer to that is: no. Freshly roasted coffee actually reaches its best flavour after a few weeks. During roasting, carbon dioxide (CO₂) is created inside the coffee beans, which can mask the taste at first. That is why coffee is at its best between one and four weeks after roasting.

After roasting, the beans are immediately packed in special coffee bags with a one-way valve. This valve allows CO₂ to escape without letting oxygen in, so the aromas are preserved and the coffee remains fresh. This way, you can count on an optimally fresh product with a full flavour!

What are the main flavour characteristics of the Dallmayr Home Barista Caffè Crema e Aroma coffee beans?
These coffee beans are characterised by a powerful and aromatic flavour, with a full body and a creamy texture. The slow, dark roast ensures that the rich flavours are brought out to their fullest.
Are these coffee beans suitable for milk-based drinks such as cappuccino and latte macchiato?
Yes, these beans are extremely suitable for milk-based coffee drinks. Thanks to their full, creamy texture and strong flavour, the coffee character is preserved even when you add milk.
Where do the coffee beans in this blend come from?
Dallmayr does not state a country of origin for this blend, and no country of origin is recorded for this item in our product data either. We can therefore not say which countries the beans come from. No official sustainability label is registered with us for this product either. If you are specifically looking for certified coffee, take a look at our products carrying an organic or Fairtrade label.
Which brewing methods do you recommend for these coffee beans?
These beans are ideal for fully automatic and traditional espresso machines, but can also be perfectly used in piston machines. They are perfectly suited for coffee specialities such as caffè crema, cappuccino and latte macchiato.
