Lavazza Crema e Aroma is a dark-roasted blend of Arabica and Robusta in a 1 kg bag. It's full-bodied and creamy, with notes of chocolate, nuts and honey, and scores 8 out of 13 on our strength scale. Details
Lavazza Crema e Aroma is an everyday bean with a firm but approachable taste. Arabica and Robusta together give it aroma, strength and a creamy body, so the cup is rich without feeling heavy. The dark roast brings out chocolate and nutty notes, with a touch of honey behind them.
In the cup
As an espresso or lungo you get a full, aromatic cup with a long-lasting crema. With milk, in a cappuccino or latte macchiato, the chocolate and nut notes still come through and the creamy body blends in softly. At 8 out of 13 on our strength scale it has enough weight for milk drinks without being one of the heaviest blends.
Machines and brewing
The beans work well in bean-to-cup machines and give a consistent cup, which makes them a practical choice at home or in the office. If you like a robust, rounded coffee, you can also use them in a moka pot, a cafetière or a filter machine.
Set the grind to suit how you brew: fine for espresso and bean-to-cup, a little coarser for a moka pot or filter machine, and coarse for a cafetière. Grind just before brewing to keep the most aroma in the cup, and close the bag well between uses.
