Bag of descaling powder (universal / for 1x descaling)

One bag of Café du Jour descaling powder is the right amount for one descaling cycle. The powder is universal: it is made for coffee machines in general rather than for one specific model, and it removes limescale as part of your routine machine maintenance.

How to descale with it

Dissolve the whole bag in 1 litre of water, which gives you a 1:20 mix. Then:

• Add the solution to your machine and let it work for 10 minutes.
• Let half of the solution run through.
• Leave it to work for another 10 minutes.
• Rinse at least three times with clean water.

Don't cut corners on the rinse: three rounds of clean water is the minimum, so no trace of the descaler ends up in your next cup.

A flat pack that stores easily

Because it is a powder, the bag stays small and flat. A spare one fits in a kitchen drawer or next to your coffee until the machine is next due.
