Espresso Madrugador - Fresh coffee beans
All orders are shipped for € 6,95
Early bird (or not)? Espresso Madrugador is a firm (but medium-roasted) espresso specially developed to make extra strong espressos to get your day off to a good start. Start your day right with a shot of delicious Madrugador. It takes a bit of guts, because you can't really call this blend mild! A slightly fruity espresso with a strong spicy kick.
The Madrugador is the flagship of our coffees and is roasted in a small authentic roastery in a barrel over a gas fire. After each batch, the roaster allows the beans to rest for a few hours to a day at most, and the flavour is assessed. Only if everything is right are the beans packed in a container from which any residual gases can escape but no more air can enter. The roasting date is always recent (maximum four weeks) and is always printed on the front of the coffee.
Traditionally roasted for authentic excellent quality
The Café du Jour Madrugador is expertly blended, artisanally roasted and tested in small batches. The Madrugador is the flagship of our coffees and is roasted in a small authentic roastery in a barrel over a gas fire. The roaster does this variety entirely 'analogue', continuously taking a few beans from the roast during roasting and testing them by sight (colour) and smell. Once the batch is ready, he lets the beans rest for a few hours to a day at most and the flavour is assessed. Only if everything is right are the beans packed in a container from which any residual gases can escape but no more air can enter. The roasting date is always recent (maximum four weeks) and is always mentioned on the front of the coffee.
Carefully selected coffee beans
High-quality coffee beans from Central America, South America and Indonesia are used to compose the Madrugador blend. The blend consists mainly of Arabica coffee beans with a handful of Robustas to give the coffee a spicy twist and aftertaste.
Café du jour Coffee Beans
Café du Jour's own-brand coffee beans are roasted on a small scale by a specialist roaster. The beans are roasted and stocked weekly, so the roasting date is always recent. The roast date is therefore noted on the packaging label.
Resealable coffee packaging
Whether you buy 250g, 500g or a kilo Café du Jour coffee beans: they always come in a special resealable packaging. The coffee bag has a special resealable rim so you can always re-pack the coffee airtight. On the front of each bag is a valve, this allows gases and air to escape from the bag without allowing air from outside to flow back into the bag. This way, we do everything possible to preserve the optimal freshness of your coffee!
