Details

Twelve flavours, 300 tea bags

The Sunleaf assortment sleeve holds 12 boxes of 25 tea bags: 300 bags in total, each one sealed in its own sachet. A box holds one flavour only, so the blends stay apart and people can take what they want without rummaging. The make-up of the sleeve is fixed — you cannot put it together yourself.

Which flavours are in it

Sunleaf names all twelve: the black teas English Blend, Earl Grey, Forest Fruit, Strawberry and Apple Cinnamon; the green teas Green Tea, Green Tea Lemon, Green Tea Jasmine and Green Tea Mint; and the caffeine-free infusions Rooibos, Star Mint and Ginger Lemongrass.

Which boxes contain caffeine

The black and green teas, including the fruit-flavoured Forest Fruit, Strawberry and Apple Cinnamon, naturally contain caffeine, also called theine. Rooibos, Star Mint and Ginger Lemongrass have none at all. Each box states which type of tea it holds, so anyone avoiding caffeine later in the day can see which ones to leave alone.

Where the tea comes from

Sunleaf Tea® is picked, processed, blended and packed in the south of India. The herbal and fruit infusions are a different matter: the rooibos in this sleeve comes from South Africa, because that is where rooibos grows.

Brewing and storing

One bag per cup, and go by the advice on the box of whichever flavour you are making. Green tea wants water of around 80°C and two to three minutes, because boiling water turns it bitter; black tea takes hotter water and a longer steep. Keep the boxes dry, dark and well closed.

FAQ
Customer Questions
Where does Sunleaf tea come from?

Sunleaf tea is picked, processed, blended and packed in the south of India. For the herbal and fruit infusions the ingredients may come from elsewhere. The rooibos in this sleeve comes from South Africa, for example, because that is where rooibos grows.

How many tea bags are in the Sunleaf assortment sleeve?

The sleeve contains 12 boxes with 25 tea bags each, so 300 tea bags in total. Each bag is individually wrapped, so the aroma is preserved until you open it. The whole sleeve weighs around 450 grams and measures around 22 by 12 by 21 centimetres.

Which flavours are in the Sunleaf assortment sleeve?

The sleeve contains 12 different flavours, including Earl Grey, English Blend, Green Tea, Rooibos and Ginger Lemongrass, plus fruity blends such as Forest Fruit and Strawberry. Each box contains one flavour, so you keep the blends neatly separated. The composition of the sleeve is fixed and you cannot put it together yourself.

Do all tea bags in the Sunleaf sleeve contain caffeine?

No. The black and green teas in the sleeve, such as Earl Grey, English Blend, Green Tea and the fruit-flavoured Forest Fruit, Strawberry and Apple Cinnamon, naturally contain caffeine, also known as theine. Rooibos, Star Mint and Ginger Lemongrass are naturally caffeine free. On each box you can read which type of tea it is.

How do I brew and store the Sunleaf tea bags?

Use one tea bag per cup and follow the brewing advice on the box of the flavour concerned. For green tea we recommend water of around 80 degrees and a steeping time of 2 to 3 minutes, because boiling water quickly makes green tea bitter. Black tea can steep hotter and longer. Store the boxes dry, dark and well sealed.
