Sunleaf Green Tea Mint is green tea with mint: fresh on the first sip and cool on the finish, with the mint softening the light bitterness of the green leaf. Brew one bag per cup in water that is just off the boil, around 80°C, for two to three minutes. The 25 bags are wrapped individually, so each one keeps its aroma until you open it.
Green tea with mint, in 25 individually wrapped bags from Sunleaf. The green tea gives the cup its grassy, slightly dry base and the mint sits on top of it, leaving the cool aftertaste that stays with you well after the last sip.
Flavour
Fresh rather than sweet. The mint is the first thing you notice and the last: it cools the finish and takes the edge off the light bitterness green tea can carry. Nothing needs to go into it, and mint is one of the few teas that is as good cold as hot, so a pot left to cool and poured over ice loses none of it.
Brewing green tea
Green tea does not want boiling water. Let the kettle stand for a couple of minutes so the water drops to around 80°C, then steep the bag for two to three minutes. Water straight off the boil and a long steep are what turn green tea bitter, mint or no mint. One bag per cup.
