A blend built around balance
Caffè Mauro De Luxe brings together Brazilian Arabica, fruity beans from Central America and a touch of Indian Robusta, sold as 1 kg of whole beans. The Arabica does most of the talking: the blend is floral and lightly fruity, with a gentle cocoa note underneath and a body that feels rounded rather than heavy. The Robusta sits in the background, the part of an espresso blend that gives the shot its weight and its crema.
In the cup
It is an espresso blend first, and neither a light nor a dark one, which is why it reads as refined rather than punchy.
