illy Arabica Selection Guatemala coffee beans are a single-origin coffee from the mountain regions of Guatemala. The beans are 100% Arabica, medium roasted by illy in Italy and sold whole in a 250 g can.

Bold, with notes of chocolate

This is a coffee for people who like a fuller cup. illy describes it as bold, with a distinctly bitter taste, an intense aroma and body, and clear notes of chocolate. Caramel and honey add some sweetness underneath. On our scale it rates 8 out of 13; illy, on its own scale, gives it intensity 6/9.

How to brew it

illy recommends it in particular for the moka pot and filter coffee, and the full body also suits espresso and cappuccino. You get whole beans, so grind them yourself or use a bean-to-cup machine: fine for espresso, slightly coarser for the moka pot and medium for filter.
