116.76
Value box with 6 × Kimbo Espresso Barista 100% arabica (coffee beans, 1 kg).
Kimbo Espresso Barista is 100% Arabica, medium roasted in Italy and sold as whole beans in a 1 kg pack. It shows the softer, more refined side of Italian coffee: sweet and floral rather than heavy, with a full body, fine acidity and an aromatic finish. Grind it for espresso or cappuccino, where the gentle sweetness still comes through the milk, or use it for filter coffee.
Details
Kimbo Espresso Barista is the gentler face of Neapolitan coffee: whole beans, all Arabica, given a medium roast in Italy by Kimbo. Being all Arabica, it leans towards aroma and nuance rather than weight, and the cup is round, slightly sweet and well balanced.
Flavour
Look for honey, fresh flowers and toasted bread, carried by a full body, fine acidity and an aromatic finish. The medium roast keeps bitterness in check, leaving sweetness, a light freshness and soft roasted notes. On our scale it comes in at 9 out of 13, so there is real strength behind the elegance.
Espresso, cappuccino or filter
As an espresso it pulls an elegant, aromatic shot. In a cappuccino the softer character still comes through, and the body is substantial enough to hold its own against the milk. The beans also work for filter coffee if you prefer a longer cup.
