Audace is the coffee Kimbo puts into machines that pour all day — offices, waiting rooms, canteens and busy counters, where a weak cup gets noticed immediately. At 10 out of 13 on our strength scale it sits firmly at the powerful end of the range, and the flavour is full-bodied and spicy rather than bright or fruity.

Arabica for aroma, Robusta for weight

The Arabica in the blend supplies the aroma and the rounder part of the taste; the Robusta supplies the body, the crema and the dark, spicy edge. That combination is what makes it versatile: it will pull a short, dense espresso, and it still tastes of something in a large mug of filter coffee.

With milk

This is where a bold blend earns its keep. The spice and the bitterness cut through steamed milk, so a cappuccino or a latte comes out tasting of coffee rather than of warm milk with a hint of it. If your machine is set up for milk drinks and you have been disappointed by softer beans, this is the other direction.
