Lucaffé Mr. Exclusive is a 100% arabica blend from the Italian roaster Lucaffé in Brescia, with beans from South America, Asia and a small share from Central Africa. Lucaffé is an Italian roaster based in Brescia. Mr. Exclusive is its blend of 100% arabica beans, with no robusta added. The beans come from South America and Asia, with a small share from Central Africa, and together they make a balanced coffee for everyday drinking.
Flavour profile
Lucaffé describes the aroma as freshly baked bread, noticeable before and after grinding. The medium roast keeps bitterness low and gives a smooth, rounded coffee with a medium body and a clearly sweet undercurrent. Chocolate notes come through in the cup and stay with you in the finish. At 7 out of 13 on the Café du Jour strength scale, it has presence without any sharp edges.
How to brew it
Mr. Exclusive works in an espresso machine with a built-in grinder, or with a separate grinder and an espresso machine. It makes a gentle morning espresso and a good after-dinner coffee, where the chocolatey finish comes into its own. In a cappuccino or latte it gives a nice crema, and the chocolate flavour stays recognisable through the milk.
