Mandheling coffee is grown on the Indonesian island of Sumatra. It’s cultivated in the west-central region of Padang at altitudes between 750 and 1500 metres above sea level. This coffee is celebrated for its smooth, full body (mouthfeel) and rich, complex flavour. Its taste is enhanced by the fertile volcanic soil and the tropical climate. The coffee gets its name from the Mandailing people of northern Sumatra - that's an ethnic group, not a region.

The harvesting season typically runs from June to December.
