A 100% Arabica blend

Caffè Hausbrandt Gourmet is built from Arabica grown in Central and South America and Africa, with no Robusta anywhere in the bag. Blending across several origins is how a roaster keeps a cup tasting the same from one harvest to the next, and it is what gives Gourmet its even, unfussy character.

Roasted low and slow

The beans are roasted slowly in a rotating drum at low temperature. A gentler roast takes longer, but it develops the sugars inside the bean without scorching the outside, so you get sweetness and aroma instead of the ashy edge a fast, hot roast can leave behind. It is also why the acidity here comes across as fruit rather than sharpness.

In the cup

Balanced before anything else: a gentle sweetness, a slightly fruity middle, and notes of spice and citrus that show up more clearly as the cup cools. Nothing shouts. At 7 out of 13 on our strength scale it sits right in the middle of the range — enough body for a proper espresso, mild enough to drink black through the morning. These are whole beans, so you will need a grinder or a bean-to-cup machine.
