Lucaffé Exquisit box discount

Lucaffé Exquisit is an Italian blend of Arabica and Robusta beans, medium roasted for a balanced coffee with a distinct chocolate character. It comes as whole beans in a 1 kg bag from Lucaffé, an Italian coffee house that specialises in espresso blends.

Flavour profile

Exquisit sits in the middle ground: never heavy, never thin. Arabica makes up nine tenths of the blend and gives the cup its softness and delicate aromas. The remaining tenth is Robusta, which adds body, a good crema and a slight bitterness that makes the chocolate notes stand out. On our strength scale it scores 8 out of 13.

That balance is what makes it an easy everyday coffee: chocolatey enough to be interesting, but without the heavy, bitter edge of a darker blend.

How to brew it

The medium roast makes Exquisit easy to use across equipment, from an espresso machine to a cafetière. Grind the beans just before brewing: fine for espresso, where the chocolate profile comes through best, and medium to coarse for a filter coffee maker or cafetière.
