Pellini's 100% Arabica, ground for the moka pot

This is the ground version of Pellini's TOP Originale: a blend made only from Arabica beans and slow-roasted in Italy. Pellini grinds it for the moka pot, the stovetop espresso maker, which takes a fine grind that is just a little less fine than espresso.

Flavour

The aroma is toast, butter biscuits and dark chocolate: warm and familiar rather than bright. In the cup it has a medium body, a fresh, pleasant acidity with a citrus note and a touch of bitterness. At 5 out of 13 on our strength scale it sits at the gentler end of the range.

The tin

The 250 g tin has an aroma-protective seal that keeps the coffee fresh until you open it; after that, press the lid on firmly between brews. The grind is set for the moka pot, so for a drip filter machine it can be on the fine side: for that, a coarser ground coffee gives a better result.
