Café du Jour Espresso Cup & Platter

The cup holds about 80 cc, or around 80 ml up to the rim. A single espresso of 25 to 30 ml and a double espresso of 50 to 60 ml therefore fit easily.

This is the smallest size in the original Café du Jour range. For a regular cup of coffee or a cappuccino it is too small.

The three cups come from the same original Café du Jour range and differ only in capacity: this espresso cup is about 80 cc, the coffee cup about 150 cc and the cappuccino cup about 200 cc.

These sizes are regularly mixed up when ordering. If you are looking for a cup for regular coffee or cappuccino, choose the 150 cc or 200 cc version instead of this espresso cup.

The cup and saucer are made of heavy porcelain. That thicker porcelain absorbs heat and keeps your espresso at temperature for longer than thin crockery.

We recommend rinsing the cup with hot water first. Especially with a small amount of espresso, a preheated cup makes a big difference in temperature.

Yes, you order a set consisting of an espresso cup with the matching saucer. The price applies per cup and saucer, so for six complete sets you put six of them in your basket.
