Kimbo Crema Suprema in the cup

A light roast built on Arabica and Robusta beans. The first thing you notice is the aroma, and it is spiced rather than fruity or floral: cinnamon and nutmeg, with all the warmth those two suggest. The acidity is low, which is what makes this one so easy to drink — nothing sharp, nothing catching at the back of the throat, just a smooth and rounded cup.

How it drinks

At 5 out of 13 on the Café du Jour strength scale this sits at the milder end of what we sell, so it is a coffee for drinking through the day rather than one short, punchy shot to start it. Pulled as espresso it concentrates the spice notes. With milk, in a cappuccino or a latte macchiato, the cinnamon and nutmeg read as warmth rather than as separate flavours, and the low acidity keeps the whole thing soft.
