Lavazza Espresso Barista Intenso box discount

Lavazza made the Espresso Barista range for people who want coffee-bar espresso at home. Intenso is the blend for those who like it stronger: Arabica and Robusta beans, dark roasted, with enough intensity for a proper espresso without turning heavy or sharp.

Flavour

Dark chocolate leads, with light fruity notes that add depth. The dark roast gives a full taste and a lasting finish, and the texture stays creamy. On the Café du Jour scale it scores 9 out of 13, which puts it among the stronger blends.

How to drink it

As an espresso it makes a strong, aromatic cup with a rich crema. It holds up well in a cappuccino or latte, so the coffee and milk stay in balance. If you prefer a bigger cup, it also works as a lungo or as filter coffee.

For espresso, grind the beans fine and brew straight after grinding to get the most from the aroma. For filter coffee, use a coarser grind. Close the bag well after each use to keep the rest of the beans fresh.
