Lucaffé Espresso Bar - coffee beans - 12 x 1 kg

Value box with 12 × Lucaffé Espresso Bar (coffee beans, 1 kg).
Lucaffé Espresso Bar is a kilo of whole beans roasted in Italy: 60% Arabica to 40% Robusta, medium roasted. That mix is what gives it a thick, lasting crema and a chocolate aroma with a hazelnut note behind it. It holds its own against milk, so it works under a cappuccino as well as it does on its own, and it runs in both portafilter and bean-to-cup machines.
Details
Lucaffé Espresso Bar coffee beans, 1 kg
Espresso Bar is Lucaffé's everyday bar blend, roasted in Italy: whole beans, medium roasted, in a kilo bag. The mix is 60% Arabica to 40% Robusta. The Arabica carries the sweetness and the aroma, the Robusta puts in the body and the thick crema that still holds a pattern a minute after pouring.
How it tastes
Chocolate is the first thing most people name, with a hazelnut note underneath. The medium roast keeps it there: far enough along for a proper espresso finish, not so far that the roast takes over and turns bitter. At 9 out of 13 on our strength scale this is a firm cup, and it stays recognisably coffee through a cappuccino or a flat white rather than disappearing into the milk.
Machines
Ground fine it goes into a portafilter; set to fine or medium-fine it runs in a bean-to-cup machine. A kilo is the size to buy when the machine is switched on every day, at home or in an office kitchen.
