Green coffee powder is made by grinding coffee beans before they're roasted. Green coffee is rich in chlorogenic acid, which is known to boost metabolism, and it's packed with antioxidants. The general belief is that antioxidants help speed up metabolism and protect the body from free radicals. This can lead to increased energy levels and weight loss, making it a popular choice for those looking to shed a few pounds. Green coffee typically has more caffeine than the roasted variety.

Contains green Arabica coffee.

Note: this is unroasted coffee that has been pre-ground and is therefore not your usual (black) coffee. Looking for unroasted beans to try your hand at roasting? Check out the unroasted coffee. This coffee is gently heated to bring out a more pleasant nutty flavour and to remove any bacteria.

Brewing method

Add one tablespoon (15g) of green coffee to about 200ml (a large teacup or coffee mug) and let it steep for about 10 minutes. Then pour through a filter (like a coffee filter) and dispose of the remaining grounds. It's recommended to use it up to twice a day with a meal.

Keep out of reach of children. Not recommended for anyone under 18, or for pregnant or breastfeeding women.
Contains caffeine.

FAQ
Customer Questions
Is this coffee really unroasted? And why does it still smell and taste somewhat mild/nutty?
Yes, this is truly unroasted green coffee. The beans are briefly and lightly heated to make the flavour somewhat more pleasant and nutty, and to eliminate bacteria. As a result, the coffee has a milder, nuttier taste than completely raw beans, without the intensity and bitterness of roasted coffee.
What is the flavour profile of this green ground coffee? Do I need to get used to the taste?
Green ground coffee has a completely different flavour profile compared to regular, roasted coffee. The taste is nutty, slightly spicy, sometimes a bit vegetal and less bitter than black coffee, but certainly also less full-bodied. Many customers indicate that it takes some getting used to at first, but that the taste is very enjoyable after brewing it a few times. Tip: if you like, try it the first few times with a little honey or lemon.
How do I best prepare this green coffee? Can I use it in a French press or cafetière?
For preparing this green ground coffee, we recommend using one tablespoon (±15g) of coffee per 200 ml of hot water and letting it steep for about 10 minutes. Then filter the mixture using, for example, a coffee filter, or pour it directly from your French press or cafetière. Several customers successfully use a French press for preparation, provided that you separate the coffee grounds well after steeping.
Does this green ground coffee contain caffeine and is it suitable for daily use?
This green coffee does indeed contain caffeine, usually even slightly more than roasted coffee. We recommend a maximum of two cups per day, preferably during a meal. The product is not recommended for children, pregnant women or women who are breastfeeding.
How is this product packaged? Does it stay fresh for a long time?
The green ground coffee is delivered in a sturdy, resealable bag. This ensures that the product stays fresh after opening. Several customers mention that the packaging is convenient and fits easily through the letterbox.
