Hario Skerton PLUS Coffee grinder

No, unfortunately we cannot supply the glass collecting jar of the Hario Skerton PLUS separately. The jar is part of the complete grinder. So handle it with care, especially when unscrewing and rinsing it, because glass is fragile around the rim.

The Skerton PLUS is a hand grinder, so you do the turning yourself. With a coarse filter grind or french press grind that goes easily, but the finer you grind and the more beans you put in, the harder the turning gets. For an espresso grind or larger amounts it takes noticeably more effort. If you are looking for something that asks little of your wrists, an electric grinder is a more comfortable choice.

The grind size of the Skerton PLUS is quick to adjust and runs from espresso grind to french press grind. That means you can use it for Aeropress, Hario V60, Chemex and virtually every other brewing method. The conical ceramic burrs give an even grind and do not affect the taste of your coffee.

The catch container of the Skerton PLUS holds 100 grams of ground coffee. At around 5 to 8 grams per cup of filter coffee that is more than enough for a full pot. A lid is included so you can close the container if you want to keep the ground coffee for a while.

You can take the grinder apart within a few seconds and then simply rinse it with warm water. Let all the parts dry well before you put them back together, so no moisture is left around the burrs. The ceramic burrs are wear resistant and do not take on any flavour.
