Hario V60 Electric Coffee Grinder Compact

This grinder has conical burrs and is easy to set from an ultra fine espresso grind to a coarse grind for a french press, for example. That covers virtually every brewing method. Grind your coffee preferably just before brewing, because ground coffee loses its aroma faster than whole beans.

The bean hopper at the top has a capacity of 100 grams of coffee beans and the catch container at the bottom holds 100 grams of ground coffee. A lid is supplied with the catch container, so you can cover ground coffee that you are not using straight away.

The grinder measures 130 mm wide, 185 mm deep and 335 mm high and weighs 1.35 kilos. It runs on 220 to 240 volts with a power of 110 to 150 watts and comes with an EU plug. The housing is made of sturdy plastic with stainless steel parts. You can find the Hario manual at global.hario.com.

For a pour-over filter such as the V60, a Melitta filter or a Moccamaster you choose a filter grind. For a french press or cold brew you grind coarse and for an espresso machine you grind fine. If your coffee tastes too bitter, grind one step coarser. If it is too sour or too thin, grind one step finer or use a slightly higher dose.
