Lavazza Caffè Decaffeinato - ground coffee 250 g tin

Lavazza Caffè Decaffeinato is ground coffee in a 250 g tin, decaffeinated with a natural CO2 process that leaves the character of the blend intact.

The blend

Arabica and Robusta from Brazil and Colombia, roasted and produced in Italy at a medium roast. The cup is rounded and full for a decaf: milk chocolate, almond and dried fruit in the aroma, a nutty, lightly fruity finish in the flavour. It is mild by design — 3 out of 13 on the Café du Jour scale, or Lavazza intensity 3/10 on the roaster's own scale — so it is the sweetness you notice, not the bite.

How to brew it

The grind is not tied to one machine. Pull it as an espresso, run it through a filter machine, brew it in a moka pot or a percolator, or build a cappuccino on it, where the chocolate note holds up against milk. Press the lid back on after each scoop and the aroma stays in the tin.
