Santa Rosa is a certified organic, Fairtrade coffee from Honduras: a full aroma and a mild, slightly sweet cup that keeps its balance from start to finish. SUN slow-roasts it to a medium roast in its own roastery, which is why it is pointed at a filter machine or a cafetière rather than at a short, concentrated espresso. Whole beans in a 1 kg bag.

An organic, Fairtrade coffee from Honduras
Santa Rosa comes from Honduras, is certified organic and is bought on Fairtrade terms. The aroma is full and the cup is mild and slightly sweet, but the thing you notice is the balance: nothing sharp, nothing heavy, nothing that needs sugar to make it drinkable.
Picked, washed, sun-dried
The cherries are picked in three to five rounds rather than stripped off the branch in one pass, so each bean goes in ripe. They are washed in clear water and then dried in the sun. SUN roasts them in its own roastery using a slow roast, bringing the heat up gradually so the sweetness stays in the bean instead of burning off.
Filter and cafetière
This is a medium roast, 7 out of 13 on our scale: enough body to fill a mug, not so dark that the sweetness disappears. It is aimed at a quick filter or a cafetière, where a mild coffee has the room to show what it has.
