FAQ
Customer Questions
Do I get whole beans or ground coffee with the SUN Santa Rosa Medium Roast?

You receive whole coffee beans in a 1 kilo pack. There is no ground version of this item.

If you grind yourself, match the grind to your machine: filter grind for a pour-over filter, a bit coarser for a cafetière and fine for an espresso machine.

Which coffee maker is the SUN Santa Rosa Medium Roast suitable for?

This coffee has a medium roast and according to the description is mainly suitable for filter coffee or a cafetière. Our product details also list the coffee as suitable for espresso and cappuccino.

Because these are whole beans, you can also use them in a bean to cup machine. A medium roasted bean releases less oil than a dark roast, which is good for the grinder.

Is the SUN Santa Rosa coffee organic and Fairtrade certified?

Yes. In our product data this coffee is listed with the Organic and Fairtrade labels, and the product is officially certified organic.

The labels are also shown on the packaging. They apply to both the cultivation and the trade chain.

Where do the beans of the SUN Santa Rosa come from?

The beans come from Honduras and they are arabica. The coffee has a full aroma and a slightly sweet, mild taste that provides a good balance in your cup.

The beans are picked in 3 to 5 rounds, washed with clear water and 100 percent sun dried. SUN then roasts them using the slow roast process in its own roastery.

How do I best store the SUN Santa Rosa coffee beans?

Store the beans cool, dark and well sealed, and not in the fridge. Unopened, coffee keeps for about a year, but it tastes best within three months.

Only ever grind what you need, because ground coffee loses aroma faster than whole beans. For filter coffee you count on about 5 to 8 grams per cup.
