Café du Jour's single-serve drip bag is a filter for one mug, filled with 10 g of freshly roasted ground coffee. Set it in your mug, pour hot water through it and you have proper coffee without a machine, a grinder or a cafetière. This Ethiopia is 100% Arabica, with a fruity, floral character and a slightly spicy finish.

Freshly roasted ground coffee for the times there is no coffee machine to hand: at your desk, away on holiday, out on a picnic, in a hotel room or halfway through your Monday afternoon walk. Each Café du Jour drip bag is a single-cup filter with 10 g of ground coffee inside, so you get the real thing rather than instant.

How to use it

Open the bag, set the filter in your mug and pour hot water through the coffee. Once it has dripped through, lift the filter out and your coffee is ready. There is nothing to measure and nothing to clean up afterwards; a mug and a kettle are all you need.

How do I use the drip bag for the best result?

Open the outer sachet, tear open the drip bag along the tear line and hang the cardboard arms over a cup. Slowly pour 150 to 180 ml of hot water over the coffee in the drip bag. Pause occasionally to allow the coffee to absorb the water properly. After pouring, let the drip bag drain for a moment before removing it.

Doesn’t the coffee end up too watery or weak with this drip bag?

We recommend pouring the water slowly and taking occasional pauses, so the coffee can extract properly. If you want the coffee to taste stronger, use less water than 150 ml or pour even more slowly. The filter ensures you get a full cup of coffee, but if you pour too quickly, the coffee can indeed become a bit lighter.
