Aurora Mundo, "the dawn of the world", is our organic blend of beans from Indonesia, Peru, Honduras and Congo. A fresh medium roast makes it lightly sweet and slightly nutty, and as an omni-roast it works for filter coffee and espresso alike.

We produce Aurora Mundo separately from our other coffees, so it is not roasted fresh every week. The current roast date is 1 Oct 2026

Aurora Mundo means "the dawn of the world". Café du Jour Organic Aurora Mundo takes its name from the first light of the day, and it is a coffee made to start the morning with.

Blend and flavour

The blend brings together organic beans from Indonesia, Peru, Honduras and Congo. A fresh medium roast gives a lightly sweet, slightly nutty cup with a strength of 8 out of 13. It is an omni-roast: one roast that is versatile enough for filter coffee and also makes a lovely espresso.

Aurora Mundo is certified organic under control body code NL-BIO-01, from non-EU agriculture.

Packaging

The beans are packed in paper with a thin layer of EVOH instead of aluminium foil. EVOH is a synthetic material that keeps oxygen away from the beans.
