Fruit tea on a black tea base
Most fruit teas are infusions with no tea leaf in them at all. This one is a fruit black tea: Tea Cultures build Black Forest Fruit on black tea and work the fruit around it, so the cup keeps a backbone and a firm finish instead of fading away sweet. It is number 2 in their Tea Leaves Collection.
What is in it
Wild forest fruits, strawberry leaf and pieces of raspberry leaf, on black tea. The forest fruits give a full, gently sweet note, the leaves round it off, and the black tea carries the lot. Each bag is sealed in its own sachet, so the fruit aroma is still there in the twenty-fifth cup. Every ingredient comes from organic cultivation, and the tea is Fairtrade certified.
How to brew it
- Water at 100°C, straight off the boil
- One tea bag per cup
- Steep for three to four minutes
It is good chilled as well: brew it as usual, let it cool and pour it over ice.
