What the motor gear does

The Gene Café motor gear, part number CRA75-016A, is the plastic gear that fits on the shaft of the drive motor. It transfers the drive from the motor to the roasting chamber, which is what keeps the chamber turning evenly from the start of a roast to the end. When to replace it
