Organic means that the coffee is grown according to the European rules for organic farming, Fairtrade stands for fair trading conditions for the coffee farmers.

Yes. These are whole coffee beans in a 1 kilo pack, and Kimbo states that they are suitable for both automatic coffee machines and hand grinders. For a bean to cup machine you always use whole beans, so you do not need to grind anything in advance. If you brew the coffee in an espresso machine, a pour-over filter or a percolator, you grind the beans yourself to the grind size that suits that appliance.

This blend consists of 90 percent washed Arabica beans from Nicaragua and Peru, topped up with 10 percent naturally processed Robusta beans from India. The small share of Robusta gives the coffee a little extra body and crema, the Arabica provides the aromatic side. The coffee is roasted in Italy by Kimbo, a roastery from Naples that has been around since 1963.

Kimbo describes the flavour profile as intense and floral, with a light almond note and a hint of exotic spices. Our product data notes the taste as fruity, spicy and nutty. The gentle roast makes these beans suitable for espresso, filter coffee and cappuccino, and they also work well as a base for a light caffè crema or a creamy latte.

Store the beans cool, dark and tightly closed, for example in the original bag with the seal closed or in an airtight storage tin. Do not put coffee in the fridge, because there it takes on moisture and odours. An unopened pack keeps for about a year, but we recommend using up the beans within a few weeks to three months after opening, because the aroma noticeably declines after that.
