This chocolate offers a beautifully balanced taste of cocoa from Öko-Caribe, with rich notes of cocoa and red fruits, enhanced by a subtle hint of pepper that creates a warm, spicy and slightly tangy chocolate.

The founders, Adriano de Jesus Rodriguez and Gualberto Acebey Torrejon, have extensive experience in cocoa farming. Öko Caribe maintains close ties with 165 cocoa farmers from Duarte province. Quality is their priority, resulting in close cooperation with the farmers, including providing training in organic farming methods, care and processing. Thanks to micro-credit and the superior quality and organic premium, the farmers are able to sell their crop at significantly higher prices. The cocoa trees thrive among bananas, avocados, oranges and other tropical fruits. The beans are carefully fermented in wooden boxes, then dried in the sun and finally hand-selected.

Thanks to Gualberto and Adriano's dedication, exceptional beans are produced, with rich notes of cocoa and red fruit, and a surprisingly warm, spicy touch of pepper.
