Crystallised Sugar Sticks (brown)

Brown crystallised sugar on a stick, for sweetening tea or coffee at the table. Each stick is about 17 cm long, so it doubles as a stirrer: put it in the cup, stir, and let the sugar dissolve. No spoon needed, and you take the stick out once the drink is as sweet as you like it.

Where they work well

Sugar sticks are a tidy way to offer sweetener with hot drinks, at home or in a café or hospitality setting. They suit afternoon tea, a coffee and tea set for guests, and the rest of your tea service accessories. You can also add a few to a coffee and tea gift set.

Lay one on each saucer, or stand a few upright in a small glass in the middle of the table so guests can help themselves. Because the stick is also the stirrer, there are fewer teaspoons to wash afterwards.
