Pure Chamomile is loose chamomile tea from Café du Jour with a single ingredient on the label: dried chamomile flowers. No flavourings, no additives, nothing blended in to round it off. Open the bag and what you get is the flower itself — soft, honeyed, with the gentle apple note chamomile is known for.
Brewing it
Because the tea is loose rather than bagged, you decide how strong the cup is. A heaped teaspoon per cup is a sensible starting point: put it in a strainer or a pot with a filter, pour freshly boiled water over it and leave it five to ten minutes. Shorter for something light, longer for a fuller, more aromatic cup. The flowers swell as they steep, so give them room instead of packing them into a small ball infuser.
