What is the delivery time for this roaster?
Once you place the order, it will be dispatched the next working day.
Does espresso affect your cholesterol?
We do not make any claims about that. What we can tell you is about the brewing method: espresso is extracted under pressure, without a paper filter, so the natural oils from the bean, including cafestol, end up in the cup. Filter coffee passes through a paper filter, which holds back most of those oils. That is where the difference between the two comes from: espresso has more body and crema, while filter coffee is clearer and more delicate. If you have questions about your health, speak to your doctor.
Is decaffeinated espresso also healthy?
We do not make any claims about that. The difference from a regular espresso is the caffeine content: in decaf, the caffeine is removed almost entirely from the green beans, before roasting, leaving only a small residual amount. The beans are then roasted and ground like any other, so in the cup you get the same extraction, with crema and a taste very close to a classic espresso. Many people choose it for the evening or when they prefer to limit caffeine. Coffee can be part of a varied diet; for health questions, speak to your doctor.
Can espresso help with weight loss?

We make no claims about this: espresso is not a medical product and we cannot attribute any effect on weight to it. What we can say is that an espresso without sugar or milk contains virtually no calories. If you have questions about diet and weight, please consult a doctor or dietitian.

How much water is in one espresso?
A single espresso contains about 30 to 40 millilitres of water, depending on the chosen ratio. With a double espresso, that is about 60 to 80 millilitres.
What is the difference between a ristretto and a lungo?
A ristretto is made with less water (about 1 to 1.5) and therefore tastes more intense and fuller. A lungo, on the other hand, uses more water (about 1 to 3) and tastes milder and smoother.
Do I need to adjust the ratio when using different beans?
Yes, every bean reacts differently. Lighter roasts often need a slightly higher ratio to deliver enough flavour, while darker beans come into their own with a shorter extraction.
How important is the grind size for the ratio?
Very important. The grind size determines how quickly the water flows through the coffee. Too coarse a grind makes the espresso sour, too fine a grind makes it bitter. The right grind size helps you make perfect use of the ratio.
From what age is a child allowed to drink a babyccino?
A babyccino consists only of warm, frothed milk and contains no caffeine. It is therefore suitable for toddlers and pre-school children. Do pay attention to the temperature of the milk, so that it is not too hot for small children.
Can I make a babyccino without a milk frother?
You can also froth the milk with a whisk, a French press, or even by vigorously shaking warm milk in a sealed jar. The foam will be a little less firm, but it works perfectly.
Which milk works best for a babyccino?
Whole milk froths best and gives a creamy texture. Plant-based milks such as oat or almond milk can also work, provided you use a barista version with a bit of extra fat.
May I add sugar or syrup to a babyccino?
That’s possible, but it’s not necessary. A babyccino is already mild and creamy on its own. If you’d like something extra, you can use a little honey or syrup, depending on your child’s age.
Can you make a babyccino cold?
That’s possible, although then it’s not really a proper babyccino anymore. You can lightly froth cold milk and serve it in a cheerful cup, optionally with a straw. Nice for warm summer days.
Should I use hot or cold coffee for Baileys coffee?
Preferably use warm, freshly brewed coffee. Baileys mixes best with warm coffee, and this is when the flavours come through at their best.
Can I make Baileys coffee without whipped cream as well?
Whipped cream is optional. The drink is already creamy enough on its own thanks to the Baileys, but a dollop of whipped cream makes it extra festive.
