The difference lies in the capacity: the 100 version filters up to 100 litres of water (800 cups, 6 kg of coffee) and the 250 version up to 250 litres (2,000 cups, 15 kg of coffee). Both last for a maximum of 6 months. If your machine has a smaller water reservoir (such as the Dedica 685), we recommend the 100 version, as the 250 can sometimes partly stick out of the water, which is less hygienic. For larger machines, the 250 version is suitable.
