Hario V60 dripper - porcelain red - size 02

The Hario V60 in glazed red porcelain, size 02. It is the ceramic version of the pour-over cone, in the colour that does not disappear into a white kitchen, and a measuring spoon comes with it.

Size 02: coffee for more than one

The 02 brews one to four cups in a go, where the size 01 is built for one or two. It measures 10.2 cm high and 13.7 cm wide, with a diameter of 11.6 cm, which is broad enough to rest on a large mug and equally happy on a V60 coffee server if you would rather brew the full amount and pour it out at the table.

Ceramic retains heat well

That is the reason to pick porcelain over plastic. Rinse the cone through with hot water before you brew and it comes up to temperature, then holds it while the water runs through rather than drawing heat out of the coffee. A steadier temperature across the pour gives you a more consistent cup, and it tells more on a four-cup brew than on a single one, simply because there is more water going through and more time for it to cool.

Filters and the spoon

Use Hario V60 papers in size 02; the size 01 filters are cut for the smaller cone and will not fit. We sell the 02 papers in brown, 100 to a box. The measuring spoon included with the dripper saves you weighing out every dose.
