Hario V60 coffee server size 02/700 ml

The Hario V60 coffee server is the glass carafe your coffee brews into. Sit a size 02 V60 dripper on the mouth of it and the coffee runs straight through into the jug rather than into a single cup. It holds 700 ml, which is about four to five cups of 150 ml, so it is the size to reach for when you are rarely brewing for just yourself. Made of glass in Japan.
The Hario V60 coffee server is the glass carafe that sits under the dripper. Set a size 02 V60 dripper on the mouth of it, add a paper filter and your ground coffee, and the brew runs straight through into the jug instead of into one cup.
700 ml, and what that is in cups
The carafe holds 700 ml, which works out at roughly four to five cups of 150 ml. For filter coffee you reckon on about 5 to 8 grams of ground coffee per cup, so a full carafe takes somewhere around 40 to 50 grams. Catching the whole brew in one jug also evens it out: the first liquid through a pour-over is a good deal stronger than the last, so pouring from the server means the fourth cup tastes like the first.
Matched to the size 02
The size on the label runs right through the V60 range. A size 02 dripper takes size 02 papers and sits squarely on this 700 ml server — no stand, no balancing act. If you brew on a size 01 dripper, the 450 ml server is the one that matches it.
Grind and filters
The V60 is a pour-over, so use a filter grind, or grind your own beans on a filter setting. Espresso grind and percolator grind are not suitable for it. The papers you need are Hario V60 coffee filters in size 02, which we sell separately in packs of 100.
