Hario V60 coffee server size 01/450 ml

The Hario V60 coffee server is the jug that sits under the dripper. Set a size 01 Hario V60 dripper on top, add a filter and your ground coffee, and the coffee brews straight into the server rather than into a single cup. The two are made as a pair: the 01 dripper sits squarely on the mouth of the 450 ml server, with no stand and no balancing act.

Why brew into a server

Brewing over one cup ties you to one cup. With the server underneath you can make the full 450 ml — roughly two mugs — and pour it out when it is finished. It also evens the coffee out: the first liquid through a pour-over is far stronger than the last, so collecting the whole brew in one vessel and pouring from there means the second cup tastes like the first. And once the water has drawn through, you have somewhere to rest the dripper while you serve.
