AeroPress GO Coffee Maker - coffee and espresso maker

The AeroPress GO coffee maker is the travel version of the AeroPress: the same press, made more compact and packed inside a mug you drink from. Light, tough and small enough to pack, it is built to be carried rather than kept on a worktop.

How it brews

Ground coffee and hot water go into the chamber, you stir, and then you press the plunger down through a paper micro-filter. The paper holds back the oils and the fine grounds, so the cup comes out smooth rather than gritty, and the short steep keeps out the bitterness that a long brew draws from the grounds. Clearing up is one movement: push the puck of used coffee straight into the bin and rinse the chamber.

What makes the GO different

Everything nests inside the mug — press, plunger, filter holder, stirrer and scoop — so there are no loose parts to lose and nothing rattling around in a rucksack. The mug has a lid and is the cup you drink from, which is why this is the AeroPress that ends up in a desk drawer, a tent or a hotel room rather than on a kitchen counter.
