Paper microfilters for the AeroPress, 350 to a pack. The same filter fits the AeroPress Original, the AeroPress Go and the AeroPress Clear: it sits in the filter cap, holds back the grounds and the fine sediment, and comes away with the spent puck. You use one per brew, so a pack of 350 covers close to a year of daily coffee. Made in the United States.
AeroPress paper microfilters
These are the paper microfilters made for the AeroPress, supplied 350 to a pack. Each one is a thin paper disc that drops into the filter cap; you twist the cap onto the chamber and brew as usual. One filter does one brew, and the same disc fits the AeroPress Original, the AeroPress Go and the AeroPress Clear, so a single pack covers whichever press you own.
What the paper does
The paper holds back the grounds and the fine particles that travel with them, and takes most of the coffee oils with it. That is what gives an AeroPress cup its clean, bright character: no grit in the last mouthful and none of the weight you get from a metal filter. Rinsing the filter with hot water before you brew is optional. It warms the cap and settles the paper in place.
Clearing up
Once you have pressed, unscrew the cap and push the plunger a little further. The spent grounds and the filter come out together as a dry puck that drops straight into the bin or the compost, which is why an AeroPress takes seconds to clear up rather than a rinse and a scrub.
