These are genuine Hario V60 paper coffee filters in size 02, white, in a pack of 100. They are made for the Hario V60 02 coffee dripper and also fit many other drippers that brew 1 to 4 cups.

A filter should do its job without getting in the way. These leave no paper taste, so what you taste in the cup is the coffee you chose, not the filter it went through.

Is this the right size for you?

Size 02 is the filter that belongs with the Hario V60 02 dripper, so if that is what you brew with, you're sorted. Using another dripper? If it is made for 1 to 4 cups, there is a good chance these filters fit it as well.

Using the filters

Open the filter out into a cone and set it in the dripper so it sits snugly against the sides. Many people pour a little hot water through the empty filter first to warm the dripper and the cup underneath; tip that water away before you start. Then add your ground coffee, medium-fine, and pour the water slowly over the grounds so it drips through evenly. When the coffee is through, lift out the filter with the grounds and throw it away.

Customer Questions

Are the filters unbleached and free from adhesives?

The Hario filters with a W at the end of the article number are bleached. The Hario coffee filters with an M at the end of the article number are unbleached. We cannot determine from the packaging whether adhesive has been used. You can find the unbleached variant here: Hario V60 Coffee Filters - brown size 02 - 100 pieces

Where are these Hario V60 filters made?

These Hario V60 coffee filters size 02 are made in Japan.

Do these Hario V60 coffee filters give a papery taste to the coffee?

No, these original Hario V60 coffee filters are known for their neutral taste and do not impart a papery flavour to the coffee. For the best result, however, we do recommend rinsing the filter with hot water before use.

Does this filter also fit in other coffee drippers besides the Hario V60 size 02?

Yes, these Hario V60 coffee filters size 02 are specially developed for the Hario V60 No. 2 coffee dripper, but they also fit many other 1 to 4 cup coffee drippers. Always check before use whether the size matches your filter holder.

Is the new (green) packaging really a different filter?

No, only the packaging has been renewed (green); the filters themselves are identical to the original Hario V60 filters.
