The porcelain Hario V60 in white, size 01 — the small one, made for one or two cups. It is shaped to sit straight on a mug, so a single cup needs nothing more than the dripper, a size 01 paper and a kettle. Porcelain holds its warmth while the water passes through, which keeps the brew temperature steady from the first pour to the last. A measuring spoon comes in the box.

This is the porcelain version of the Hario V60, in white, size 01, with a measuring spoon included. The V60 is a pour-over cone: paper filter in, ground coffee on top, hot water poured over it by hand.

Built to sit on a mug

Size 01 is the single-serve one, made for one to a maximum of two small cups, and it is shaped so that it rests directly on the rim of a mug or cup. No stand, no carafe, nothing else to buy or wash up afterwards — the coffee drips into the cup you are about to drink from. It takes up very little room, at 8.2 cm high, 11.5 cm wide and 10 cm in diameter, so it can live beside the kettle rather than in a cupboard.

Porcelain keeps the temperature steady

Rinse the cone through with hot water before you start and the porcelain warms right through, then holds that warmth while you pour. A brew that does not shed heat halfway extracts more evenly, and on a small cup, where there is little water and not much time, that stability counts for a lot. Porcelain is easy to keep clean as well: the glaze does not hang on to coffee oils, and it will outlast a plastic cone so long as you do not knock it off the worktop.

Filters and dosing

Only size 01 V60 papers fit this dripper. The 02 filters are cut for the bigger cone and will not sit properly in it. We stock the size 01 papers in white and brown, 100 to a pack. The measuring spoon supplied with the dripper takes the guesswork out of the dose.
