Hemp & Herbs is an easy way into hemp tea. Hemp leaf forms the base and the herbs blended through it lift it: mint for freshness, ginger for a little warmth at the end of the sip. Nothing in it is assertive, which is what makes it a blend you drink through the day rather than save for a particular moment.

Dutch Harvest names hemp as the base and mint and ginger among the herbs blended with it, and publishes no further breakdown of the blend. The list printed on the bag you receive is the complete one, so that is the list to go by if you are avoiding an ingredient. We would rather say that than guess at the remainder.
Brewing
- One teaspoon per cup, or two tablespoons per litre
- Pour over boiling water
- Steep for 5 to 7 minutes
This is loose tea, so you will need a strainer, a paper tea filter or a teapot with a filter built in. Keep the bag dry, dark and tightly closed between cups.
As iced tea
Chilled, it holds its freshness well. Brew it as above, let it cool in the fridge, and serve. If you are pouring it over ice, make it a little stronger to start with so the flavour does not thin out as the ice melts.
About the hemp
The hemp is fibre hemp, organically grown by Dutch Harvest in Oude Pekela, in the Dutch province of Groningen. Fibre hemp contains no THC, so this tea has no psychoactive effect and cannot get you stoned or high. It does contain CBD, which works differently from THC and is not psychoactive either. Dutch Harvest states no CBD content per bag or per cup, so neither do we.
