The secret of Auslese Klassisch is in the beans: full-flavoured beans, carefully selected and roasted a little darker, for a strong taste and a full aroma. Melitta prints the strength as 4 out of 5 on the pack, which is 8 out of 13 on the Café du Jour scale. If you prefer a milder cup, Melitta Auslese Klassisch Mild is the gentler version.

Melitta Profiröstung: roasted to the second crack

Melitta roasts Auslese Klassisch with its own Profiröstung, roasting the beans to the point, right up to the "second crack". According to Melitta, this is the roasting point for over 800 aromas.

Brewing with Auslese Klassisch ground coffee

Melitta Auslese Klassisch is ground for filter coffee, and the pack recommends three methods: the filter coffee machine, the French press (cafetière) and the hand filter. Filter coffee is where the brand began: Melitta Bentz invented the coffee filter in 1908. As a filter grind, it is not meant for espresso machines, moka pots or bean-to-cup machines. Sustainability and the pack

The beans come from 4C-compliant cultivation, and Melitta is a member of the Global Coffee Platform, which works for better living conditions in coffee growing and for protecting the environment. The packaging is FSC certified (FSC MIX). Store the coffee in a cool, dry place and close the pack well after opening. It is produced by Melitta Europa GmbH & Co.
