Mild in taste, not in caffeine

Melitta Auslese Klassisch Mild is mild in flavour only: it is not decaffeinated. The pack calls it "Der Freundliche", the friendly one: a strong character, yet so gentle that you will happily have it around all day, every day.

Klassisch Mild or Klassisch?

Melitta Auslese Klassisch Mild differs from the regular Auslese Klassisch in roast and strength. Klassisch Mild has a gentler roast and Melitta rates it 3 out of 5 for strength, which is 6 out of 13 on the Café du Jour scale. Melitta Profiröstung

Melitta roasts the beans with its own "Profiröstung": roasted to the point, right up to the "second crack". According to Melitta, that is the roasting point for more than 800 aromas.

Brewing Auslese Klassisch Mild

Melitta Auslese Klassisch Mild is a filter grind for the filter coffee machine, the cafetière (French press) and the hand filter. The filter grind is not meant for espresso machines or moka pots. Store the coffee in a cool, dry place and close the pack well after opening. More soft-tasting coffees are under mild coffee.

Sustainability and producer

The beans come from 4C-compliant cultivation, and Melitta is a member of the Global Coffee Platform, which works for better living conditions in coffee growing and for protecting the environment. The packaging is FSC certified (FSC MIX). The coffee is produced by Melitta Europa GmbH & Co. KG, coffee division, in Bremen, Germany.
